Trocitos de una Isla and Paisajes Multiversos Exhibition Opening

Museo de la Isla opens two new exhibitions exploring landscape, nature and the many ways artists interpret a sense of place.

In Trocitos de una Isla, Cozumel painter Daniel Acosta captures small pieces of island life through coastal landscapes, marine scenes, birds, fish and other familiar inhabitants of the Mexican Caribbean. Trained in architecture and 3D art, Acosta uses color, atmosphere and changing light to reflect the natural character of Cozumel.

Paisajes Multiversos presents the photography of Doris Anaid, a Mexico City–born architect and visual artist who has lived in Cancún for three decades. Anaid has participated in more than 50 collective exhibitions in Mexico and abroad, and her photographs have appeared on the covers of several literary publications.
