Tortuga Fest 2026 in Akumal

Akumal invites everyone to come together for Tortuga Fest 2026, a community event dedicated to sea turtle conservation, culture, and love for the natural world.

The day begins at 9 AM with a Mayan ceremony on the beach, honoring the connection between the community and the sea. Activities will then continue in the pueblo at the Akumal Dome, next to the sports court, with a photography exhibition, interactive workshops, environmental activities, local shopping, sea turtle education, and family-friendly programming throughout the day.

It’s a chance to celebrate, learn, and support the protection of one of Akumal’s most beloved natural treasures.
