The Magic of Cameo Glass — Greg Dietrich Exhibition

Discover the extraordinary glasswork of Cozumel artist Greg Dietrich in The Magic of Cameo Glass, a solo exhibition celebrating ten years of artistic creation. The collection features 58 pieces of hand-blown, cameo-engraved glass, along with a large-scale underwater scene painted on seven silk panels, created especially for the museum.

Cameo glass is a painstaking technique in which layers of colored glass are carefully carved with diamond wheels to reveal intricate images, textures and contrasts. Dietrich has spent more than three decades mastering the process and has operated his own studio, Galería Azul, in Cozumel since 2000. His work draws inspiration from the island's marine life, natural landscapes and cultural heritage. CGC QROO
