Festival Día de Muertos Cozumel - Full Events Calendar
Cozumel marks Día de Muertos with four days of ceremonies, altars, food, music, parades and community celebrations during Almas en Tradición 2026: “En el Latido de Mi Corazón.” Events begin at the cemetery on Friday evening and continue through November 2, with most weekend activities centered around Parque Benito Juárez and the Malecón.

Friday, October 30
7:00 PM — The Awakening: Opening and lighting ceremony at San Miguel Cemetery.
Saturday, October 31 | Parque Benito Juárez
5:00 PM — Halloween Night with multicultural activities, children’s performances and costume contests, including categories for children and pets.
7:00 PM — Sweet or Treat at the Pavilion.
8:00 PM — Halloween Costume Contest, Youth Open Category.
9:00 PM — Halloween dance contest featuring horror-movie themes.
Sunday, November 1
5:00–7:30 PM — “We Are an Offering” gathering and Ánimas 5K activities at the Malecón/Parque Benito Juárez.
7:00 PM — Pan de Muerto, bread and chocolate exhibition and sale at Parque Benito Juárez.
7:30 PM — Traditional altar exhibition.
8:00 PM — Cultural activities.
9:00 PM — Popular dance with the Colombian Symphonic Band.
Monday, November 2
11:00 AM — Catholic Mass at San Miguel Cemetery and Mansión de Paz Cemetery.
4:00 PM — Afternoon Mass at the cemeteries.
6:00 PM — Día de Muertos Parade along the Malecón.
7:00 PM — Día de Muertos multicultural celebration at Parque Benito Juárez.
8:00 PM — Closing ceremony followed by music and dancing.
