Chalky’s Singing Challenge for Charity
One man. Two hours. A whole lot of classic songs. And one very good reason to sing.
On Saturday, December 5, Puerto Aventuras' own Bernard “Chalky” White returns to the microphone at Nauti Burro for a very special evening of music and fundraising in support of Feeding the Future, a charitable program operated by the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside.
If you've spent any time around Puerto Aventuras, there's a good chance you know Chalky. He's a longtime resident, a familiar face around town, and someone who's always ready to bring a little humor and good cheer to the occasion. This time, he's putting his voice to work for a cause that's close to the hearts of many in our community.

A Little Frank, a Little Dean, and Plenty of Chalky
For two hours, Chalky will take us back to the golden age of popular music, paying tribute to the great crooners and entertainers who made these songs unforgettable. Think Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and the timeless standards that still have audiences singing along decades later. Expect familiar melodies, a little nostalgia, plenty of laughs, and perhaps a few surprises along the way.
This isn't a polished Vegas production, and that's part of the fun. It's Chalky doing what Chalky does best: entertaining friends, bringing people together, and making sure everyone has a good time. The challenge? Keep the music going for two full hours while encouraging the crowd to dig deep for a worthy cause.
Singing for Something That Matters
While the evening promises plenty of entertainment, the real reason we're gathering is to support Feeding the Future, one of the ongoing community projects of the Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside. Through this program, Rotary helps provide two nutritious meals every school day to local children who might otherwise go hungry.
For children facing food insecurity, a reliable meal means much more than a full stomach. Good nutrition helps them concentrate in school, supports their physical development, and gives them a better chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
For families struggling to make ends meet, knowing their children will receive nutritious meals at school can make an enormous difference.
It's a straightforward mission with a lasting impact: making sure children in our community have the nourishment they need to succeed.
Every tip and donation collected during Chalky's performance will go toward supporting Feeding the Future.

You don't have to be a Sinatra fan to enjoy this one. You just need to appreciate good company, a lively atmosphere, and the opportunity to make a difference. Bring your friends, grab a table overlooking the marina, order something from the bar, and settle in for an evening of songs you probably know by heart. Sing along. Cheer Chalky on. Toss a few pesos in the donation collection. Or make a larger contribution if you're able.
Admission is completely free, so every guest can choose how much they'd like to contribute. Nauti Burro is generously hosting the event again, and given last year's turnout, we strongly recommend arriving early or making a reservation. Let's fill the place, raise the roof, and, most importantly, raise some money for children who need our help.
