20th Annual Festival de Vida y Muerte at Xcaret
Xcaret celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Festival of Life and Death Traditions with four evenings dedicated to Día de Muertos. This year’s guest state is Guanajuato, bringing its music, regional cuisine, folk art, legends and cultural traditions to the Riviera Maya.
The event transforms Xcaret with altars, offerings, theater, dance, concerts, exhibitions, workshops and family activities. Featured performances include The Opera Locos, The Arrival of Polilla, The Mummy and the Serpent, The Catrina’s Bell Tower, Cervantes interludes, folkloric dance, huapango and traditional music from Guanajuato and the Yucatán Peninsula.
