2026 Guelaguetza Festival in Cancún

🌺 Cancún is preparing for a new edition of the Guelaguetza Festival, celebrating the music, dance, food, artisan work, and cultural traditions of Oaxaca.

Planned for the final weekend of July, the festival is expected to expand beyond Parque de las Palapas to include part of Avenida Yaxchilán, helping bring new energy to one of Cancún’s historic downtown corridors.

The event will feature a traditional Calenda parade, cultural performances, a food pavilion, artisan booths, and more than 180 participating merchants, artisans, and exhibitors, including vendors from Oaxaca offering traditional dishes and regional products.

The festival is being organized in coordination with the Oaxacan community living in Cancún. Final dates and the official program are still pending municipal confirmation, but activities are expected to begin with a cultural festival on Thursday, followed by the main weekend events.
