 e species in the Caribbean\, where they prey on native reef fish and can d
 isrupt coral reef ecosystems. NOAA notes that lionfish are now established
  across the Atlantic\, Gulf\, and Caribbean\, and local removal efforts ar
 e one of the main tools used to help reduce their impact.\n\nParticipants 
 may fish individually\, either by boat or free swimming. The winner will b
 e determined by the largest total catch by weight\, with a single prize of
  $5\,000 MXN for first place.\n\nSunday\, September 6 | 8 AM–1 PM\nScale
  opens at 8 AM | Weigh-in closes at 2 PM\nDeparture and weigh-in: Calle 14
