SUMMARY:Isla Contoy Beach Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Help protect one of the Mexican Caribbean’s most important na
 tural areas during the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup at Isla Contoy N
 ational Park. Organized by Delphinus and Ocean Conservancy\, the volunteer
  day will bring participants together to remove waste from the coastline a
 nd prevent debris from returning to the sea.\n\nVolunteers will meet early
  at El Embarcadero in Cancún’s Hotel Zone. The meeting point is at kilo
 meter 4.5\, beside Xcaret’s Scenic Tower. Support for the event is being
  provided by Xcaret Xailing\, Catamarán by Xcaret and CONANP.\n\nSaturday

 one\n\nThe event is free\, but advance registration is required. Volunteer
 s must be at least 15 years old.\n\nBecause Isla Contoy is a protected nat
 ural area\, participants may not bring sunscreen\, insect repellent or jew
 elry. This includes products labeled biodegradable. Bring a reusable water
  bottle\, hat or cap\, sunglasses\, long sleeves\, long pants\, closed sho
 es that can get wet\, a towel and a change of dry clothes. Food must be pa
 cked in reusable containers\, and a waterproof backpack or protective bags
  are recommended for personal belongings. Single-use plastic bottles are p
