DESCRIPTION:Even the dead come back to Akumal! Celebrate Día de Muertos at
  Casa del Sol with a full day of Mexican traditions\, local art\, hands-on
  workshops\, live music\, food and activities for the whole family.\n\nHos
 ted by Loco Gringo and Akumal Direct\, this community celebration invites 
 visitors and residents to experience the traditions of Día de Muertos whi
 le supporting the Akumal Pueblo Community Center. Proceeds will help fund 
 educational\, recreational and personal development opportunities for loca
 l residents of all ages.\n\nThe festivities begin with morning yoga\, cult
 ural talks and workshops\, followed by an evening celebration featuring tr
 aditional games\, face painting\, music\, an ofrenda presentation and a cl
 osing ceremony. Guests are welcome to explore the activities at their own

 tion by Akumal Monkey Sanctuary on animal rescue and conservation.\n\n11:3
 0 AM–12:00 PM: Talk by Centro Ecológico Akumal (CEA) about Akumal's tur
 tles and beaches.\n\n12:15–1:00 PM: Free archaeology talk with Miguel Co
 varrubias.\n\n11:30 AM–1:00 PM: Lunch featuring tacos\, quesadillas\, fl
 autas and refreshments.\n\nOngoing Morning Workshops and Activities\n\nTry
  your hand at making a traditional piñata with Fabiola Padilla Chan\, pre
 paring tamales with Chef Daveed\, creating colorful alebrijes and decorati
 ve headbands with Rocío Perez\, or joining a bread-making workshop with F
 abrizio. Tequila and chocolate tastings will also be offered.\n\nArt exhib
 itions featuring Ingrid Datica\, Luis Rey and other local artists will be 
 on display\, along with artisan pop-ups.\n\nEvening Celebration | From 5:0
