DESCRIPTION:💃 Cancún will host the second edition of the Festival of Bl
 ack Dances: Afro-Caribbean Reflections 2026 from August 6 to 12\, bringing
  together artists\, dancers\, academics\, and cultural voices from across 
 Mexico\, the Caribbean\, and Latin America. The festival is dedicated to A
 frican heritage\, Afro-Caribbean dance\, ancestral memory\, identity\, and
  contemporary perspectives on Black and Afro-descendant cultures.Participa
 nts will come from Brazil\, Colombia\, Cuba\, Haiti\, Puerto Rico\, the Do
 minican Republic\, and Venezuela\, along with representatives from Mexico 
 City\, Chiapas\, Guerrero\, Oaxaca\, Quintana Roo\, and Veracruz.The Canc
 ún program will include dance performances\, workshops\, keynote lectures
 \, and documentary screenings at different cultural venues around the city
 .Organized by Mexico’s Ministry of Culture through INBAL and the Nationa
 l Dance Coordination\, in collaboration with the Institute of Culture and 
 Arts of the Municipality of Benito Juárez\, the festival aims to create s
